impact tangible for the children.

A heartfelt Thank You for supporting our mission of empowering children through education!

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits as we begin 2025. When we started kids.R.ok ten years ago, just a dream of getting one child from their underprivileged position living in the slums or in a tribal village to go to university was something that needed faith. Today we have 7 children who are now in University pursuing their own dreams and becoming the first person in their family to ever go for higher education let alone graduate high school. And for this, we are filled with gratitude as we reflect on the lives, we’ve been able to touch this past decade – because of you.

Your unwavering support has been a lifeline for so many children who once faced insurmountable barriers to education. Thanks to your generosity, these children now have the opportunity to dream, learn, and build brighter future.

In these past ten years, because of partners and donors like you, we were able to:
• Educate more than 300 children in our evening schools in India and ensure they have the school supplies they needed.
• Launch multiple programs that provide extra moral, psychological, mentor support for children, ensuring children can focus on their studies with the right mindset.
• Enable bright and ambitious 5 girls and 2 boys, to get scholarship to attend university for the first time, setting them on a path toward becoming what they have aspired to be as a child.

You made all of this possible. Your kindness has been a light in the lives of children and their families, proving that there is hope and that they are not alone.

As we step into a new year, our mission at kids.R.ok is to extend this hope to even more children. This year, the board has taken a decision to expand beyond India and we will start sponsoring children’s education in an orphanage in Ethiopia. This orphanage was started by Meaza Denke who I know personally for the past 8yrs from a church in Stockholm. She left her job and found her calling to help children in her homeland, and has in faith started this children’s home.

The Indian chapter of kids.R.ok which recently got 80G status (donors in India get tax exemption), and now they needs to self-fund themselves for the next 2-3 years, showcasing to the government that the Indian chapter is self reliant and thereby get FCRA approval which grants them to get foreign funds (allowing Sweden and US chapter to contribute directly Indian Chapter). kids.R.ok in Sweden will continue to “create new scholarships grants” to support kids in India who graduate high school and support expanding our programs into underprivileged communities. But we cannot do this without you.

Your contributions go far beyond financial support – they change lives, spark dreams, and create a ripple effect that uplifts entire communities. Every faithful gift you have given is a testament to your belief in the power of education and the potential within every child. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for standing by us as we continue to work toward a world where every child has the chance to learn and thrive.

We invite you to join us by donating, or sharing our work with others who want to support this mission and/or volunteering with us to help make the impact tangible for the children.

Regards & Gratitude, Allan & kids.R.ok Team
